Second Half Goal Lifts Lee Above Men’s Soccer

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - West Alabama men's soccer took a 1-0 defeat from Lee University on Friday evening at Ray Conn Sports Complex. The Tigers dropped to 5-4-5 overall and are now 5-1-4 in GSC play. The Flames improved to 8-3-2- overall and are now 6-3-1 in the conference. 
 
The Flames scored the only goal of the game in the second half at the 69:16 mark to claim the 1-0 victory over UWA.  Adrian Evrard took three shots. Baronyi Kengeye and Patrick Sacher took two shots. 
 
Goalie Harry Deveney recorded five saves, while the Flames goalkeeper Sam Keener made one save in the matchup. 
 
UWA only took 10 shots, with one being on goal. Lee took 10 shots, with six being on goal. The Flames held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-3. There were 28 found in the matchup. UWA was called for 11, while Lee was called for 17. 
 
The Tigers return to the pitch on Sunday as they take on Shorter at 3:30 p.m. CT at Ben Brady Field in Rome, Georgia.
