Tigers Dominate Oakwood by 57 Points, 104-47

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball team dominated Oakwood University by 57 points, 104-47, Tuesday evening inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium. The Tigers improved to 4-0 overall. The Ambassadors dropped to 1-9 overall.
 
Justin Allison led the Tigers with 17 points, two rebounds, two assists, and made two steals. Allison shot 7-of-11 from the field and knocked down 3-of-7 from the three-point range.
 
Shardarrion Allen posted 16 points, had four rebounds, dished out three assists, and made two steals. Allen had four huge dunks, two in both the first and second half. 
 
Terry Durham had 15 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and made three steals. Tyler Talley and Marvin Price both finished with 10 points. Talley had three rebounds. 

As a unit, UWA shot 60 percent (45-of-75) from the floor and 35 percent (7-of-20) from beyond the arc.
 
The Tigers dominated the first half with a 50-16 lead. Allison and Durham had 12 points at the half, and Allen had 10.
 
UWA continued to outscore the Ambassadors in the second half, 54-31, allowing the Tigers to claim the 104-47 win.
 
UWA capitalized on Oakwood's 28 turnovers and scored 42 points off them. The Tigers held the advantage in bench points, 48-21, and destroyed the Ambassadors in points in the paint, 70-20. 

The Tigers limited the Ambassadors to shoot 36.2 percent (17-of-47) from the field, 38.5 percent (5-of-13) from the three-point range, and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the foul line. 
 
Edmond Stewart dropped 22 points and had six rebounds for Oakwood. Steward scored all but two of his points in the second half.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday as they face Auburn Montgomery. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. inside AUM Athletics Complex in Montgomery, Alabama.
