Men’s Hoops Set to Face AUM on the Road

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball team travels to AUM Athletics Complex to take on Auburn Montgomery on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The Tigers enter the matchup 4-0 on the season and are 1-0 in GSC play. The Warhawks are 1-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

This is the 12th meeting between the two teams. UWA leads the series 10-1. In the latest matchup, the Tigers defeated the Warhawks 72-64 in January 2022.

Terry Durham leads the four Tigers in double figures with 15.3 points per game, shooting 62.2 percent from the floor. He also averages 8.8 rebounds a game. Justin Allison averages 14.5 points per game, three rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game. Durham and Allison both have seven steals.

Kuran Garner averages 12.3 points per game, three assists per game, and 2.8 rebounds per game. Kuran leads the Tigers in steals with nine, ranking him second in the GSC. Shardarrion Allen averages 10.8 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. CJ Melton leads the Tigers in assists with 13, ranking eighth in the conference.

After four games, UWA's offense leads the GSC, averaging 88 points per game. The team's defense also leads the GSC, limiting their opponents to 54.8 points per game. UWA's scoring margin is 33.3 points a game.

Jalen Gaston leads the Warhawks with 14.8 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. James Graham leads on the board with 8.8 rebounds per contest.
