UWA Tennis to Host West Florida in GSC Matches

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men's and women's tennis teams will be in Gulf South Conference action on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Vaughan Tennis Complex against West Florida.
 
The UWA men are 2-2 overall and 2-0 in GSC play. The Argo men are 2-2 and 1-0. 
 
The West Florida men's team is ranked No. 6 in the country according to the latest Division II Men's Top 25 Coaches Poll. West Alabama is not ranked in the latest poll. 

Earlier this season, the UWF men finished in fourth place at the ITA Division II Men's National Team Indoor Championship. 
 
This will be the first home match for the UWA men. 
 
The West Alabama and West Florida women will square off for the second time this season. They met on February 26 in the quarterfinals of the ITA Division II Women's National Team Indoor Championships and the Tigers swept the Argos 4-0 in the non-conference match. 
 
West Alabama's women will enter the match ranked No. 6 in the country and West Florida is ranked No. 12 in the latest Division II Women's Top 25 Coaches Poll
 
UWA has a 5-3 overall record and a 3-0 GSC record. UWF will bring in a 0-3 and 0-0 record into its Saturday match against Montevallo.
