Tigers to Host William Carey in Midweek Matchup

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama baseball will host William Carey on Tuesday in a nonconference midweek game at Tartt Field with the first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
West Alabama is 11-26 overall and 9-12 in the Gulf South Conference. The Crusaders bring a 23-14 overall record and is 10-8 in Southern States Athletic Conference which is part of the NAIA.
 
The game will be broadcasted on SLY 104.9 with Will Atkinson handling the play-by-play duties, along with live stream and live stats.
 
Tiger first baseman Josh Bower brings in a .371 batting average along with 52 hits which is fifth best in the GSC. Third Baseman Jake Nemith has 50 hits and 32 runs batted in. The duo have collected 13 homeruns.
 
Outfielder Brayden Lyman has 43 hits, 35 runs batted in, and five homers . Lyman has 10 games where he has recorded multiple runs batted in.

Colden Peeples has stolen 15 bases which is sixth most in the conference. Jonathan Thibodeau has a batting average of .330 and has 29 hits. 
 
William Carey's RJ Stinson has a .412 batting average and has 35 runs batted in along with 54 hits and five homers. Outfielder Chris Williams has 39 hits and knocked in 34 runs.
 
Neither team has announced a starting pitcher.
