Baseball Travels to UAH for Final GSC Series

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – West Alabama baseball will take on Alabama-Huntsville in the final Gulf South Conference series of the season beginning Friday at 5 p.m. and the doubleheader starting Saturday at 1 p.m. at Charger Park in Huntsville, Ala.

The Tigers are 15-31 overall and 11-16 in GSC play and UAH is 22-23 and 13-13.

Josh Bower leads the Tiger bats with a batting average of .372 and has 64 hits on the season. Bower has collected 40 runs batted in and has 9 home runs. Brayden Lyman has 45 runs batted in on 59 hits.

Infielder Jake Nemith has 18 multi-hit games and has 61 total hits with seven homers. Kyle Vogler has reached base in 17 straight games and Colden Peeples has stolen 18 bases.

Neither team has announced a starting rotation for the weekend series.

The UAH bats are led by Garrett Bloodline who has a batting average of .380 and has 68 hits. Landon Ezzell has hit 14 homers for the Chargers. Garrett Bodine brings in a 27 game hit-streak and has reached base in 27 straight games.

Will Atkinson will handle play-by-play duties from Charger Park for the entire weekend series on SLY 104.9, while UAH will offer a live stream and live stats.
