Roe Ketchum Signs With UWA Baseball

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama head baseball coach Gary Rundles has announced the signing of left-handed pitcher Roe Ketchum.

Ketchum will be joining the Tigers as a junior after spending the last three seasons at Itawamba Community College. Ketchum made 19 appearances and worked 51.2 innings during his career at Itawamba.

"Roe (Ketchum) is a lefty that has the ability to be a starter or can also help us in the bullpen if needed," Rundles said. "He is a great competitor with outstanding character. We are thrilled to add him to our team roster next year,"

During the 2022 campaign, Ketchum pitched 42 innings and struck 41 batters out allowing 16 earned runs. Ketchum closed the season with an earned run average of 3.43 and picked up three wins pitching in relief.

Ketchum pitched a complete seven inning game against Northwest Mississippi Community College allowing just one hit and struck 12 batters out on March 16, 2022.

Ketchum is a 2019 graduate of West Point High School in West Point, Mississippi.
