Blake Vineyard Joins UWA Baseball Roster

LIVINSTON, Ala. – Blake Vineyard has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to join the West Alabama baseball team according to an announcement made by head baseball coach Gary Rundles.

Vineyard transfers to the Tigers after playing three seasons at Coastal Alabama North Community College in Monroeville, Alabama as a shortstop.

"Blake (Vineyard) is an incredible competitor with a very high baseball IQ," Rundles said. "As an infielder he possesses great instincts along with incredible consistency," 


The infielder had a team-high of 160 at-bats in 47 games during the 2022 campaign, Vineyard drove in 33 runs on 54 hits and scored 42 times. Vineyard hit six homers, four triples, and eight doubles.


During his three-year career as an Eagle, Vineyard recorded 114 hits, batted in 68 runs, and stole 40 bases.


"He knows what it takes to win and will make everyone around him better because of his work ethic. We are excited to have him and the experience he brings to our team," Rundles said.  


Vineyard is a 2019 graduate of A. Crawford Mosley High School in Lynn Haven, Florida.
