Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer and Eckerd Tie 0-0

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The West Alabama men's soccer team played Eckerd College Friday night in a nonconference game at Johnson Field and after 90 minutes of action, the two teams tied 0-0. 
 
West Alabama moves to 0-1-1 and Eckerd is now 0-0-2. 
 
The game was scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. however, lightning in the area forced a delay of just under two hours. 
 
Eckerd was called for 11 fouls while the Tigers had eight fouls. Six cards were handed out during the game. 

As a team, UWA took six shots and Richard Lopez took the only shot-on-goal in the 75th minute. Eckerd's goalkeeper Lynden Dawson earned a save, his only of the night. 
 
Eckerd had taken one shot during the match until the 86th minute when Harry Laing took the second shot. UWA's goalkeeper Garret Wise delivered a save to keep the Tritons from taking an advantage.

West Alabama will play at Saint Leo on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the Saint Leo Soccer Field in a nonconference matchup.
