Volleyball Heads to Montgomery for AUM Warhawk Invitational

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - West Alabama competes in the AUM Warhawk Invitational hosted by Auburn Montgomery this weekend. The Tigers open the tournament with two matches on Friday and close it out with two on Saturday inside AUM Athletics Complex.
 
The six teams competing in the AUM Warhawk Invitational are Auburn Montgomery, Albany State, Edward Waters, Shorter, Tuskegee, and UWA.
 
The Tigers head into the tournament with a 3-5 overall record. Ally Craig leads the Tigers with 54 kills, followed by Madison Fisher with 48. 
 
MacKenzie Wells leads the defense with 86 digs. Wells has also recorded 16 aces. Maddie Van Dyke leads the team in assists with 107.
 
UWA's first match will be against Tuskegee on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Tuskegee comes into the tournament with a 0-2 record. The nightcap match will be against Albany State at 7 p.m. ASU is 2-0 on the season. 
 
The Tigers' first match on Saturday will be against Edward Waters at 2 p.m. EWU has a 4-3 overall record. 
 
UWA closes out Saturday with a non-conference matchup against Shorter. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. The Hawks go into the tournament with a 2-5 overall record. Lacee Glover leads the team in kills with 58. Madison Sprosty leads the defense with 99 digs.

Tickets will be sold through the HomeTown Ticketing app or can be purchased here. General admission tickets are $7, and chairback seating is available for $10. Processing fees will be added during checkout. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Cash will not be accepted.
