Tigers Face Montevallo on Wednesday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball team battles Montevallo on Wednesday in Gulf South Conference action. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.

The Tigers have a 13-3 overall record and are 9-3 in GSC play. The Falcons bring a 7-9 record to Livingston and are 5-7 in the conference. This is the 11th matchup between West Alabama and Montevallo. UWA leads the series 8-2.

Shardarrion Allen averages 13.8 points per game, shooting 48.9 percent from the field. He also averages 5.4 rebounds per game and two assists per game. Allen ranks 15th in the GSC in scoring and 18th in rebounds.

Terry Durham averages 13.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. Durham ranks third in the GSC in rebounds and 18th in scoring. He also leads UWA with 18 steals.

Justin Allison averages 12.3 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game. Allison also averages 2.9 assists per game, ranking him 11th in the GSC. Allison ranks seventh in the GSC for free throw percentage and 17th in 3-point field goals per game.

Kuran Garner averages 11.5 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game. CJ Melton ranks 12th in the conference for rebounds and averages 5.9 per contest.

As a unit, UWA averages 74.7 points per game. The Tigers' defense leads the GSC and ranks eighth nationally in scoring defense, holding its opponent to 60.7 points per game. UWA's scoring margin is 14 points per game.

Braxton Bertolette leads the Falcons' offense with 20.5 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per game.
