Men's Basketball Battles UAH in GSC Road Game on Saturday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - West Alabama men's basketball team heads to Huntsville, Alabama, for a Gulf South Conference road game against Alabama Huntsville. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall.

The Tigers are 14-4 overall and 10-4 in GSC play. The Chargers are 15-5 overall and 10-4 in GSC play.

Shardarrion Allen leads the Tigers' offense. He averages 14.8 points per game, shooting 49 percent from the field. He also averages 6.1 rebounds per game and two assists per game. Allen ranks 12th in the GSC in scoring and 11th in rebounds.

Terry Durham averages 13.6 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. Durham ranks fourth in the GSC in rebounds and 16th in scoring.

Justin Allison averages 12.7 points per game, ranking him 25th in the GSC in scoring. He averages four rebounds per game and three assists per game. He ranks sixth in the GSC for free throw percentage, 10th in assists, and 18th in 3-point field goals per game.

Kuran Garner averages 11.1 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. CJ Melton ranks 14th in the conference for rebounds and averages 5.7 per contest.

As a unit, UWA averages 74.6 points per game. The Tigers' defense leads the GSC in scoring defense, holding its opponent to 62.2 points per game. UWA's scoring margin is 12.4 points per game.

Chaney Johnson leads the Chargers' offense with 15.6 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game.
