Tigers Travel to Lee and Shorter

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Coming off an exciting GSC win over Alabama Huntsville last Saturday, the West Alabama men's basketball team looks to claim two more road victories this week. The Tigers take on Lee University on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT inside Paul Dana Walker Arena.

UWA is 15-4 overall and 11-4 in GSC play. Lee is 13-3 overall and 12-3 in the conference.

Shardarrion Allen leads the Tigers' offense. He averages 14.3 points per game, 6.4 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game. Allen ranks 14th in the GSC in scoring and 10th in rebounds.

Terry Durham averages 13.5 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. Durham ranks fourth in the GSC in rebounds and 18th in scoring.

Justin Allison averages 12.9 points per game, ranking him 23rd in the GSC in scoring. He averages four rebounds per game and 3.1 assists per game. He ranks third in the GSC for free throw percentage, ninth in assists, and 17th in 3-point field goals per game.

Kuran Garner averages 11.9 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game. CJ Melton ranks 13th in the conference for rebounds and averages 5.7 per contest.

As a unit, UWA averages 74.5 points per game. The Tigers' defense leads the GSC in scoring defense, holding its opponent to 61.9 points per game. UWA's scoring margin is 12.5 points per game.

Jayce Willingham leads the Flames with 17.1 points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Heading into weekend action, the Tigers face Shorter on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT at Winthrop-King Centre in Rome, Georgia. The Hawks are 3-16 overall and 1-14 in the conference. Ricky Knight Jr. leads the Hawks with 11.7 points per game.
