HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The University of West Alabama Men's Soccer team defeated the Chargers of Alabama Huntsville in full-time by a score of 3-1 in Huntsville.

Alabama Huntsville attempted to jump back ahead with a shot from Oli Orzechowski that was saved by Lasse Schwieren. West Alabama added to their lead early in the second half with a goal from Yannick Pohland off an assist from Baronyi Kengeye.
Kengeye would get himself in on the fun with less than a minute and a half to go in regulation unassisted, giving him his 11th goal of the season, now in sole possession of 3rd most in a season in school history, giving the Tigers the 3-1 victory on the road.
"The lads were fantastic tonight. UAH is never an easy place to come and get a win. To go a goal down and react the way we did showed great character. For now, we will focus on recovery and come back next week refreshed. We have one more regular season game away to West Florida next week, and we will be ready!" said Head Coach Ross Nelson postgame.
West Alabama moves to 8-2-4 overall and 6-1-3 in GSC play, with a one-point lead over Mississippi College for the number one seed in the Gulf South Conference with one game to go.
The Tigers will Travel to Pensacola next Friday, October 27th to take on West Florida in their final regular season match. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
