LIVINGSTON, Ala.- The University of West Alabama men's soccer team defeated the Union University Bulldogs in full time by a score of 4-0 in Jackson, Tennessee.
West Alabama's Baronyi Kengeye exploded back onto the stage after a one-game absence, scoring at the 11' mark assisted by David Nunez, setting the Tigers up early with a 1-0 lead.
Union's Ostian Bowen countered with a shot on goal in the 13th minute but was saved by West Alabama's Lasse Schwieren.
Adrain Evrard wasted no time getting West Alabama back on the board again, scoring off an assist from David Nunez at the 18' mark, putting the men up 2-0 less than 20 minutes into the match.
The Tigers stayed quiet offensively for the next 40 minutes of play until Adrian Evrard returned the first-half favor for David Nunez, assisting Nunez on the 3rd goal of the night for the Tigers.
The offense was not in short supply for the Tigers tonight, as they put one final nail in the coffin at the 85' mark. Juan Diego Santana scored his first goal of the season off an assist from Potein Lembo, giving West Alabama a 4-0 victory.
The Men move to 6-2-2 on the season, and 4-1-1 in GSC play. The Tigers will travel down the road to Memphis to take on Christian Brothers on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
