Tigers Face UWG in Carrollton on Saturday

CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Alabama women's basketball team faces West Georgia in a Gulf South Conference matchup on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. CT inside The Coliseum.

The Tigers have an 11-12 overall record and are 8-11 in GSC play. The Wolves are 10-13 overall and 9-11 in the conference. UWA defeated UWG 61-47 earlier this season in December 2022.

As a unit, UWA averages 61.3 points per game. The Tigers limit their opponent to 59 points per game.

Bria Dent leads the offense, averaging 18.3 points per game and 10.7 rebounds per game, ranking her second in the GSC in scoring and rebounds. Dent also ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage and 14th in steals.

Dent ranks 11th nationally in rebounds and 31st in points per game. She has recorded 15 double-doubles this season, tying her for fourth nationally.

Maryanne Logsdon averages 11.1 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 2.3 assists per game. Logsdon ranks second in the GSC in 3-point field goal percentage and 3-point field goals per game. She also ranks 18th in the GSC for scoring and 19th in assists.

Zoe Watts averages 10.5 points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. She ranks 22nd in the GSC in scoring.

Jala Williams averages 10 points per game, 5.8 assists per game, 4.6 rebounds per game, and 1.7 steals per game. Williams leads the GSC in assists and ranks ninth nationally in assists per game. She also ranks 10th in the GSC in steals.

UWG averages 59.1 points per game. Stephanie Torres leads the Wolves with 11 points per game.
