Tigers to Host William Carey

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama baseball hosts William Carey in a non-conference game on Tuesday with the first pitch set for 3 p.m. at Tartt Field.
 
The Tigers are 2-4 overall, and the Crusaders are 4-1 overall. Both teams are coming off a non-conference series that were cut short due to rainy weather postponing the games on Saturday.
 
The Tiger bats are led by Nick Thibodeau, who has a batting average of .385. Thibodeau has five hits, three runs, and four runs batted in to go along with two home runs. He leads the team in home runs and RBIs with only 13 appearances at-bat.
 
Michael Rich leads the Tigers with eight hits while also contributing two runs, two doubles, three RBIs, and one home run, all with a .348 batting average.
 
The Tigers are led on the mound by Jacob Smith (2-0), who has pitched 13.2 innings so far this season. Smith has allowed only nine hits and four walks among 51 batters faced. He holds opposing batters to a .176 batting average against him and struck out 18 of them.
