Tigers Travel to Delta State for Midweek Matchup

CLEVELAND, Miss. – West Alabama baseball will continue its road trip with a game on Wednesday against Delta State. The first pitch for the non-conference game is scheduled for 3 p.m.

UWA is 3-7 overall and 1-2 in the Gulf South Conference. The Statesmen are 4-5 overall.

The game will be broadcasted on SLY 104.9 with Will Atkinson handling the play-by-play, along with live stats.

Tiger infielder Michael Rich brings in a .395 batting average along with 15 hits and nine RBIs. Rich's batting average puts him at 13^th in the conference and he is tied for ninth in hits. He and fellow infielder, Josh Bower are tied for fourth in the GSC with five doubles hit on the season for each of them.

Bower adds 11 hits, four runs, and five RBIs to go along with his .355 batting average.

Infielder Houston Kitterman has a .308 batting average with eight hits, five runs, two doubles, and two RBIs. Outfielder Kyle Vogler leads the Tigers in runs with 10 to go with six hits and one home run.

Nick Thibodeau leads the Tigers with two home runs this season.

Delta State's Kirkland Trahan has a .400 batting average with seven runs batted in, 14 hits, six runs, three doubles, and two homeruns. Infielder Brett Burrell has 12 hits and has knocked in six runs.
