UWA Offense Rolls Over Spring Hill in Seven Innings

MOBILE, Ala. – The West Alabama baseball team regains momentum, picking up a big 14-3 win against Spring Hill on the road.
 
West Alabama moves to 18-22 overall on the season and Spring Hill drops to 24-17.
 
Nick Thibodeau led the bats for the Tigers, hitting three doubles and finishing with two runs scored, four total hits, and four RBIs in five at-bats. Shortstop Blake Vineyard contributed three hits, two doubles, three RBIs, and one run scored.
 
Colden Peeples hit a triple and finished with one run, two hits, and two runs batted in. Jake Nemith had one run scored with two hits in his four appearances at the plate.
 
Left fielder Lane Domino finished with three runs scored and a double as his sole hit on the game in three at-bats. Three other Tigers finished with one hit each to round out West Alabama's bats.
 
Javian Stone (2-2) got the win for the Tigers on the mound. Stone started and pitched for two innings and allowed no hits or runs and struck out one batter. Four other pitchers took the mound in relief.
 
First baseman Norris McClure led the Badgers' bats with two runs and two hits in three at-bats. Gage Ragona hit a triple to account for his only hit of the game.
 
Mike Racobaldo was charged with the loss on the mound for Spring Hill, allowing eight hits, eight runs, and three walks in 2.2 innings of work.
 
The Tigers continue road play with a weekend series against West Florida beginning on Friday. The single game on Friday will start at 5 p.m. and the first pitch for the Saturday doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.
