Baseball Finishes Last Road Game with a Win Against Miles

BIRMINGHAM, Ala – The West Alabama baseball team played its last regular season game on the road this season, defeating Miles College, 6-2, Tuesday at Rickwood Field.
 
The Tigers improved to 19-25 overall with the victory. Miles dropped to 20-22.
 
Lane Domino led West Alabama hitters with a pair of doubles and a run scored. Jake Nemith added two hits and drove in a run. Colden Peeples had hit and two RBI while Blake Vineyard doubled to drive in three.
 
Javian Stone (2-3) earned the pitching win for the Tigers, working two innings and allowing no hits, runs or walks while striking out one. Stone was one of seven pitchers who worked for the Tigers. One of five Golden Bears pitchers, Judson McKinney (1-2) was charged with the loss for Miles after working 3.2 innings and allowing four runs, four hits and two walks.
 
Kaleb Priest paced MC with two hits. Trey Rutledge hit a solo homer for the Golden Bears.
 
The Tigers return to Tartt FIeld to finish the regular season with a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Union. The series kicks off with a Friday doubleheader at 3 p.m., followed by a single game Saturday at noon.
