FAIRBURN, Ga. - The University of West Alabama cross country teams participated at the Alexander/Asics Invitational, hosted by Clayton State University on Saturday morning.
The men's team took a fourth place finish, while the women placed in 13th.
On the men's side, three Tigers finished in the top-15, led by
Jentzen Moore's eighth place result of 26:25.84 for a new season-best in an 8K race.
Gary Mata ran across the finish line 1.1 seconds later than Moore, taking ninth place with a time of 26:26.94, a personal-best for the sophomore.
Brian Easter clocked in a 26:42 finish for a 12th place result, followed by
Jayson Lynch (27:38.8),
Ryne Hopper (28:38.7),
Gabriel Laney (29:21.1) and
Dave Hubert (30:50.4).
On the women's side, four players had personal bests:
Augusta Arnold (23:12.7),
Kiona McCallister (23:24.9),
Maryanne Logsdon (25:36.9),
Lolita Hukasian (30:52.0) and
Ximena Ku (31:06.3).
