Baseball Announces 2025 Spring Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - With the 2025 season just over a month away, the University of West Alabama Baseball program released their 2025 Spring Schedule on Tuesday.

West Alabama comes into the 2025 season after a 21-win season last year in head coach Eric DuBose's first season as the program's leader.

After going 14-13 at home in 2024, UWA will open up their 2025 campaign at Tartt Field, kicking off the season with a three-game series against Columbus State on January 31-February 2. Two days later, the Tigers will continue their homestand with a midweek matchup against Miles before ending the weekend in the State of Florida for four combined games against the SSC's Palm Beach Atlantic, Nova Southeastern, and Lynn. After their trip to Florida, West Alabama will conclude the early portion of their non-conference schedule with a home contest against Tuskegee on Tuesday, February 11.

GSC play is slated to begin on February 14 for UWA as they begin their conference schedule with a series against Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. The following weekend, the Tigers will return home to Tartt Field, welcoming AUM for a three-game series which is set to begin on February 21. To conclude the month, West Alabama will dip out of conference play for a midweek road matchup with Spring Hill before returning to league play on Friday, February 28 for a series against Christian Brothers.

After their series with CBU, UWA is set to travel to Fairview, Alabama for a midweek battle with Miles before continuing their road trip into Valdosta, Georgia on March 7 for a series against Valdosta State. Following the series with the Blazers, the trend of non-conference midweek games continues for the Tigers as they're set to host William Carey at Tartt Field on March 11. To finish up the month of March, UWA is scheduled for road series' against Montevallo and Albany State, while hosting Delta State and Union for a pair of home three-game series'. Before hosting the Statesmen on March 21 and 22, West Alabama is set for a Tuesday midweek contest against Mississippi College on March 18.

In the month of April, UWA will play their first six games on the road with matchups against Trevecca Nazarene and West Florida set. After 17 days away, the Tigers will return home on April 15 for a midweek game against Tuskegee, before hosting Lee for a three-game series, beginning on Friday, April 18. From there on out, West Alabama will rematch Spring Hill at home on April 22 before closing out the regular season that weekend with a road series against Alabama Huntsville.

The Gulf South Conference Championships are set to begin on May 2, with a GSC Champion to be crowned on May 6.
