JACKSON, Tenn. — West Alabama fell in a tight five-set match to Union (TN) on Friday evening, 3-2, giving the Bulldogs their first Gulf South Conference win of the season.
The Tigers battled through a competitive match, taking the first and third sets with strong kills from Katerina Korre, Klára Bobánová, and Jazlyn Snow, as well as key assists from Jana Petkovic. Union responded in the second, fourth, and fifth sets, closing out the match despite UWA's resilient efforts.
West Alabama will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. in Memphis, facing Christian Brothers.
