LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football team is ranked in the first edition of the NCAA Football Super Region 2 Regional Rankings.

The first edition of the Regional Rankings is in alphabetical order, with next week's release being the first true chronological ranking.

Along with being announced within the Regional Rankings, West Alabama is ranked No. 21 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and No. 23 in the D2Football.com top-25.

UWA is coming off a three-point loss to No. 15 Delta State. Standing at 5-2, the Tigers two losses to West Florida and Delta State have come by a combined 10 points.

While West Alabama finds themselves in the Super 2 Region Rankings, Albany State, Benedict College, Delta State, Edward Waters, Kentucky State, Newberry, UNC Pembroke, West Florida, and Wingate are the other nine teams in this week's edition.

The Tigers are on the road this weekend as they gear up for a 12:00 p.m. CST matchup against Valdosta State in Valdosta, GA.
