LIVINGSTON, Ala. — West Alabama dropped a five-set battle to Christian Brothers on Thursday night at Pruitt Hall. The Tigers (10-17, 5-14 GSC) matched the Buccaneers with 65 kills but came up just short in the decisive final frame.
Cadence Goeden powered the offense with a career-high 23 kills, while Klára Bobánová turned in 21 kills and a career-best 21 digs to anchor the defense. Jana Petkovic guided the attack and added a key service ace as UWA claimed sets one and three before CBU rallied late.
The Tigers return home to face Union on Friday at 6 p.m. in Pruitt Hall.
