LIVINGSTON, Ala. — The University of West Alabama Men's Basketball team secured a decisive 99-45 victory over Huntingdon College at Pruitt Hall on Monday night.
West Alabama (3-1, 0-0 GSC) dominated the game in all phases, shooting 55.2 percent from the floor and 51.9 percent from three, while outrebounding Huntingdon College (3-2, 0-0 CCS) 50-33 and holding the Hawks to 25 percent shooting.

West Alabama jumped out to an early lead with
Elliot Tulip hitting consecutive three-pointers, giving the Tigers a 6-0 advantage in a blink of an eye.
Christian Thompson added a dunk, extending the lead to 10-2, and continued to dominate with a series of offensive rebounds and put-backs. UWA capitalized on HC's nine first-half turnovers, turning them into 12 points, and maintained a strong defensive presence with six steals and three blocks. By the end of the first half, West Alabama led 54-26, with Tulip contributing multiple field goals to solidify the Tigers' commanding position.
Tulip concluded the first half with 18 points on four made threes, while West Alabama shot 57.6 percent from the floor as a team.
UWA continued their dominance in the second half. Tulip set the tone early with a layup and a three-pointer, both assisted by
BJ Brown Jr., contributing to West Alabama's strong offensive performance.
Caleb Parr and
Rasean Frederick added to the scoring with timely three-pointers and free throws, respectively.
Tristan Watson's three-point shooting prowess became pronounced in the latter stages as the forward knocked down four threes in nine minutes, helping cement West Alabama's commanding 54-point victory.
Tulip led the team with a career-high 24 points, converting five 3-pointers and making seven of 13 field goal attempts. Brown Jr. conducted the offense, registering nine points and a season-high 10 assists, while also collecting three steals. Parr added 13 points, hitting three 3-pointers and finishing with three steals. Thompson showcased his defensive skills by posting four blocks and securing nine rebounds.
West Alabama will be back in action on Sunday, November 30 for a matchup against Oakwood that's set for 3:00 p.m.
