LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama Tigers (5-7, 1-2 GSC) continue Gulf South Conference play as they host the Auburn-Montgomery Warhawks (4-6, 1-2) for a three-game series at Tartt Field. The series opens on Friday, February 21, with first pitch at 2 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. and concluding with a 4 p.m. contest.
West Alabama looks to build momentum after a competitive start to conference play. Offensively, the Tigers are led by
Eli Burwash, who boasts a .362 batting average and a 1.051 OPS, tallying 17 hits, including five doubles and two home runs.
Blake Vineyard has also been a key contributor at the plate, hitting .355 with two home runs and seven RBIs.
Nick Wilson and
Joe Watkins have added steady production, each recording 11 hits this season.
On the mound, the Tigers will rely on strong performances from their pitching staff.
Maxwell Schumacher has been a standout, posting a 0.82 ERA over 11 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out seven.
