MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Men's Basketball team clinched a spot in the GSC Tournament on Saturday after defeating Auburn Montgomery, 75-61.
A 28-7 run to begin the game put West Alabama (14-13, 10-11 GSC) out in front and they never looked back in their 14-point win over AUM (9-16, 6-14 GSC).
The first half was all UWA as Elliot Tulip scored 10 points in the first 12 minutes while Dadrevius Weathers scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds to carry the Tigers' 28-7 run. After Williams' three, the Warhawks' Max Ndiaye and UWA's Jalil Robinson traded baskets to send the game to the break with West Alabama up, 38-24.
