LIVINGSTON, Ala. - After winning their first game of the season this past Saturday, the University of West Alabama Football team is ranked in the FloCollege, D2Football.com, and AFCA Top-25 Poll.
FloCollege ranked the Tigers 18th in the country, while D2Football.com puts UWA 22nd. AFCA placed the Tigers at No. 25.
West Alabama defeated Fort Valley State, 27-17, at the Week Zero Labor Day Classic on Saturday. UWA's rushing attack and defense led them to their 10-point win. Led by Brayden Jenkins, the Tigers rushed for 216 yards while the DB group, led by Devonte Harris, held the Wildcats to 77 passing yards.
GSC schools, West Florida, Valdosta State, and Delta State are all featured in the top-25 across various media outlets.
West Alabama will take their ranking on the road to Murfreesboro, NC on Saturday for a 12:00 p.m. CST matchup against the Chowan Hawks.
