LIVINGSTON, Ala. — The University of West Alabama women's basketball team returns to Pruitt Hall on Saturday looking to give Gulf South Conference leader, UAH, their first conference loss of the season. Tip off is scheduled for  2 p.m.

The Tigers enter the matchup at 7–6 overall and 5–5 in GSC play, coming off a productive 2–0 weekend with victories over Montevallo (65–59) and Auburn Montgomery (99–95). West Alabama's balanced effort was highlighted by standout performances from Nailah Mayes, Bellah Machen, and Haley Nichols.

Against Auburn Montgomery, Mayes delivered a career performance, scoring a career-high 32 points with eight rebounds in just 23 minutes to earn Player of the Game. Machen followed with a career-best 31 points, adding six assists and three steals in the win. In the Tigers' victory over Montevallo, Machen continued her strong play with 26 points and eight rebounds, while Nichols recorded her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds to secure Player of the Game.

UAH enters Saturday's contest as the top team in the Gulf South Conference, holding a 10–0 league record, a 14-game winning streak, and a 15–3 overall mark. The Chargers are coming off their own 2–0 weekend with wins over Montevallo (64–56) and Auburn Montgomery (75–50). UAH averages 77.9 points per game while limiting opponents to 60.2, led by Lili Wiken, who averages 21.4 points per game and was named GSC Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall.
