LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Track and Field's Jalen Green was named the GSC Freshman of the Week after a stellar performance at the Samford Bulldog Open.

Green notches the first GSC weekly award of his young career after his performance in the 60m Hurdles on Saturday. The Freshman recorded a time of 8.50 seconds in the event which stands as a Personal and School Record.

Green registered the fastest time of his career a week before the GSC Championships, showing that the Hurdler is peaking at the correct time.

Green and the Tigers are gearing up for the 2026 GSC Indoor Championships which is set to begin on Thursday at the Birmingham Crossplex.
