Football Releases 2026 Schedule

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama football program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring 11 regular-season contests, including five home games at Tiger Stadium.

West Alabama enters year two of the Head Coach Scott Cochran era as excitement around the program continues to build.

The Tigers open the season on Sunday, August 30 for a neutral site matchup against Tuskegee in Montgomery as a part of the Red Tails Classic. UWA then hits the road for their first true road game in 2026, traveling to Lenoir-Rhyne on September 5.

West Alabama opens up their home schedule on Saturday, September 12 as they're set to host Pittsburgh State. The Tigers will remain at home for the following week, playing host to North Greenville on September 19. UWA will close out the month on the road, traveling to Wilson, North Carolina to face Barton College on September 26.

The Tigers open the month of October at home against Chowan on October 3, followed by their bye week before resuming play on the road at Division I West Florida on October 17.

A two-game road swing continues at Delta State on October 24, before UWA returns to Livingston for a key matchup against Valdosta State on October 31.

West Alabama wraps up its home slate on November 7 against Monroe, prior to closing the regular season on the road at Northeastern State on November 14.

The NCAA Division II Playoffs are slated to begin on November 21.
