LIVINGSTON, Ala. — The University of West Alabama football team's season opener against Tuskegee in the Red Tails Classic has been set for 7 p.m. CST.
West Alabama will officially open its 2026 campaign against Tuskegee on Sunday, Aug. 30, in Montgomery. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
The Red Tails Classic is an annual HBCU football event held at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. This year's matchup between the Tigers and Golden Tigers will be the sixth collegiate football game in the event's history. Last year's Red Tails Classic matchup featured Tuskegee and Winston-Salem State.
UWA enters the 2026 season following a 5-4 record in 2025. Tuskegee comes into the new campaign after finishing 4-7 last season.
