Rodeo Set for College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Men's Rodeo team has their sights set on a National Championship while Women's Rodeo's Sydney Poole, Madison Murphy, Ivy Bone, and Andi Norwood attempt to capture individual titles at the CNFR that's set to begin on Sunday in Casper, Wyoming.

The 2026 College National Finals Rodeo will take place on Sunday, June 14 - Saturday, June 20.

West Alabama's Men's team enters as the Ozark Region Reserve Champions after accumulating 4,595 points throughout the 2025-26 season. The Tigers' six-man team will feature Tanner Brown, Clarke Gordon, Kota Wilhite, Teigan Orr, Evan Bourdon, and Stone Reeves.

Brown and Gordon enter as one of the favorites in the Team Roping event. The duo has recorded 835 points in the event this season which ranks eighth in the country. Individually, Brown will also compete in the Tie Down Roping in which he ranks fourth in the Region with 485 points. Wilhite will join Brown in the Tie Down Roping, entering the CNFR with 530 points which stands as the second most in the Region. 

Orr and Reeves will also take part in the Team Roping. Orr has recorded 235 points in the event as the Header while Reeves has registered 255 points as a Heeler. To round things out for the men's squad, Bourdon will represent West Alabama in the Steer Wrestling event.  Bourdon has recorded 335 points in the event and looks to impress in Casper this upcoming week.

On the women's side, the Reserve All-Around Champion, Sydney Poole will compete in the Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping events. Poole has accumulated 518 total points on the year, with 318.3 coming in the Breakaway Roping and 200 in the Barrel Racing. Madison Murphy will join Poole in the Barrel Racing as she enters as the Reserve Ozark Champion in the event with 440 points. Ivy Bone will compete alongside Poole in the Breakaway Roping, coming to Casper as the Ozark Region Reserve Champion. Bone has recorded 400 points in the event this season. Norwood will compete in the Breakaway Roping as she looks to capture an individual National Title along with Poole, Murphy, and Bone.

Action will officially begin on Sunday with the Matinees.
