LIVINGSTON, Ala. - Ahead of the 2026 season, the University of West Alabama Football Team will honor Elisha Jones III and Jordan Jones who both tragically passed away in the calendar year.
UWA Football will place "EJ" and "JJ" stickers on the back of their helmets for the 2026 season.
Elisha Jones III tragically passed away in August of 2025 after signing to play Football for the Tigers in February of 2025.Â
Jordan Jones was a member of the West Alabama Football program from 2015-2019. Jones is well known as one of the greatest Defensive players in Program history as he totaled 211 tackles, 43 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, and five forced fumbles throughout his UWA career. In 2019, Jones was named to West Alabama's All-Decade team for his impact on and off the field.
