LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama Football team returned back into the AFCA Top-25, coming in at No. 24 after Week Four.

West Alabama re-appears in the rankings after picking up a 17-7 road win over Barton College this past Saturday, moving their record to 4-1.

Through five games, the Tigers remain in the top-25 of multiple statistical categories. West Alabama's defense continues to be the nation's leader in takeaways with 14 while also holding opposing teams to a 25 percent  conversion percentage on third down which ranks fifth in the country. UWA's offensive line has been stout in pass protection as they're only allowing .40 sacks per game which is the seventh best mark in the nation.

Individually, Quarterback Luther Richesson is seventh in the country with 12 passing touchdowns and 24th in completions per game with 19.0. The Graduate is also 12th in passing yards with 1,176 and 21st in Division II in total offense, averaging 277.2 yards per game.

West Alabama will put their No. 24 ranking on the line this weekend as they welcome the Chowan Hawks for a 4:00 p.m. matchup on Homecoming Saturday.
