The first of two fielding miscues led to the start of the rally as Anna Shartzer reached base after a throwing error. After three-straight base hits, Meagan Sloke cleared the bases with a three RBI single to give UWA its first lead of the contest.
UWA's Katie Ford was in line for the win until things unraveled in the seventh. Ford allowed eight runs off five hits along with 11 walks in her 6.1 innings pitched. Hannah Billingsley, who came in relief of Ford, suffered the loss.
In the second game, UAH scored eight runs in the final three innings to post the five-inning victory. UAH tosser Whitney Gilbert quieted the UWA bats in the complete game shutout as she scattered just four hits. Shartzer, Beahn, Ashey Frost and Angela Hanna solved Gilbert for a hit.
