LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Suffering just its second loss at home this season, the University of West Alabama women's basketball team fell Saturday afternoon by a 66-59 score to North Alabama inside Pruitt Hall. The loss drops UWA to 15-4 (3-2 Gulf South Conference) on the year while the Lions improve to 14-5 (5-0 GSC).
The game was an exciting affair between the top two teams of the GSC East Division as the game was tied nine times and the lead exchanged hands 16 times. It was an impressive feat that the Tigers kept the contest tight as UNA shot over 57 percent from the field and connected on nearly 63 percent of its attempts from 3-point land.

The teams went into the locker room with UNA up 25-24.
The see-saw battle continued through the second half, but with the Tigers up by a point, Kierra McCleary hit the last of UNA's 10 3-pointers at the 3:53 mark to give the Lions a lead that they would not relinquish.
UWA featured three scorers in double-figures as Mystee Dale paced the squad with 18 points while adding a pair of assists and six steals. McCoy finished the night with 14, and
Latashia Greer chipped in with 10 for the Tigers.
Niala Harris led UNA with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
