LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama softball team returns to the diamond on Tuesday, Mar. 22 for a doubleheader against Tuskegee University. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Live stats will be available at www.uwaathletics.com. UWA (18-6) leads the all-time series 2-0 after claiming a pair of victories at TU earlier this season.
The Red and White snapped a four-game losing streak with a pair of mercy-rule triumphs over Lambuth on Sunday afternoon.

Anna Shartzer leads the Tigers with a .461 batting average, while seniors
Valisha Fincher and
Jessica Powell rank in the top two on the team in homeruns and RBI. Fincher leads the team with eight homeruns and is second in RBI with 23. Powell, who has a team-best 26 RBI, is second in homers with five.
Kristen Skinner and
Katie Ford have combined for 17 of West Alabama's 18 wins this season. Skinner is 8-2 on the season and leads the team in innings pitched (64.2) and strikeouts (64). Ford is 9-3 on the campaign and second on the team in innings pitched (58.2) and strikeouts (50).
Tuskegee enters the twinbill with a 10-6 record and 8-2 in the SIAC. The Lady Golden Tigers finished 4-2 in the SIAC Crossover over the past week - finishing with a 15-2 loss to Fort Valley State. Kristen O'Neal leads TU at the plate with a .500 batting average followed by Karisa Foye's .478 hitting clip.
West Alabama returns to Gulf South Conference action with a pair of road contests beginning on Saturday, Mar. 26 against Valdosta State. The Tigers close out the road trip with a doubleheader at West Florida on Sunday, Mar. 27.
