Lincoln Memorial Downs UWA, 70-64

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Lincoln Memorial shot 49 percent from the floor and outrebounded West Alabama by 12 on the way to a 70-64 women's college basketball victory over the Tigers Saturday in the final day of the McDonald Fleming Moorhead Thanksgiving Classic at the UWF Field House.
 
The win improved Lincoln Memorial to 4-2. West Alabama dropped its second straight and fell to 3-2.
 
Brittany Weathers poured in a career-high 36 points for the Tigers, scoring 22 of UWA's 26 first-half points. Tamya Thompson and Jamie Gunter chipped in 12 each for UWA. Weathers and Gunter had five rebounds each.
 
Kelsey Bradford scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds for Lincoln Memorial. MaRanda Boddie added 12 points and seven boards.
 
West Alabama returns to action Tuesday, traveling to Birmingham to face Mile College. Tip off is 6 p.m.
