HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The time for the start of Saturday's Gulf South Conference softball doubleheader between 21
st-ranked West Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville has been shifted to noon in an effort to beat predicted afternoon showers.
The Tigers come into the doubleheader with a 20-10 overall record, 9-8 in the GSC. UAH is 21-11 overall, 12-4 in the league and just one game behind league-leading Shorter, who is ineligible to advance to post season because they are playing in a transition year to NCAA Division II. UWA is 4½ games out of first place.
UWA and UAH, who split a doubleheader in Livingston earlier this season, both come into the series riding modest two-game winning streaks. The Tigers are 9-6 on the road, while The Lady Chargers are 5-1 at home.
