"I was pleased with the way we battled," UWA head coach Craig Roden said. "We outrebounded them and battled much harder than we did at Valdosta State or West Florida.
"We have to learn to play within ourselves, especially on the road, and not try to do things we aren't capable of doing," Roden said. "There is a certain speed that we have to play to be successful, and for the most part we played that speed tonight."
Anastasia Riabchenko rounded out double figure scoring for the Wolves with 10 points, making 5-of-7 field goal attempts.
Kelcia Bufkin scored 11 points to lead UWA scoring.

"Two years ago when the won the conference we started 1-6 in league play and then lost our first game in February to go to dead last," Roden said. "Then what we were trying to do clicked in and we went on to win it all.
"We are not going to change what we do or how we prepare," Roden said. "We just have to get better."
The Tigers return home on Saturday to host Shorter. Tipoff is 2 p.m. at Pruitt Hall.
