LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Ranked seventh in the nation, the West Florida women's tennis team had little trouble with West Alabama in a Gulf South Conference match Friday at the Vaughn Tennis Complex. The Lady Argonauts defeated uWA, 9-0.
With the win, Wet Florida improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 the GSC play. West Alabama lost its second straight match and dipped to 3-2 overall, 0-2 in the league.
After opening the match by cruising through doubles play, the Lady Argonauts only needed the first two singles matches to put the match away.
West Alabama remains in NCAA Division II South Region play by hosting Stillman Tuesday at 1 p.m.
