LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama women's tennis team extended its winning streak to five matches with a 5-4 victory over Montevallo Wednesday at the Vaughn Tennis Complex.
The Tigers snapped a four-match win streak for Montevallo and are now 8-2. The Lady Falcons dropped to 5-2.
Montevallo started quickly by winning two of three doubles matches on a chilly day.

Sandra Florez won West Alabama's lone doubles match at the No. 3 slot, defeating Liucija Smaizyte and Juanita Ossa, 8-5.
The Lady Falcons won No. 1 and 2 singles before UWA rallied to win singles No. 3 through No. 6 to claim the match.

West Alabama continues a five-match homestand Friday by hosting Gulf South Conference opponent Lee University. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
