"It was a tough day at the yard," said UWA head coach
Will Atkinson.
Â
"You come into every series to get series wins, but today we just did not show up. In game one, the third inning cost us the ballgame. The simple fact of that matter is if you don't get hits, you're not going to score runs. It's really disappointing but we have a chance to pick up a win tomorrow. We just have to take it one pitch at a time, and tomorrow will be a new day."
Â
UNA scored five runs in the top of the third and added another in the fourth.
Anna Shartzer homered and
Whitney Brown doubled to send in another run and put the Tigers on the board in the bottom of the third.

Â
In game two, Chelsea Showers batted in two runs with a homerun in the top of the third to put UNA up 3-0. Two Tiger errors in the bottom of the seventh led to three more runs by the Lions.
