PENSACOLA, Fla. – West Florida put a damper on the start of the West Alabama women's tennis spring break trip with a 9-0 Gulf South Conference victory over the Tigers Tuesday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
Ranked seventh nationally, West Florida improved to 12-2 overall and 5-0 in Gulf South Conference play. West Florida is 7-0 against South Region opponents this season. West Alabama dropped to 4-3 and 2-3.
The Tigers continue their stay in Pensacola, meeting BYU-Hawaii at 1 p.m. Wednesday and then travel to Orange Beach, Ala., to face GSC foe Delta State on Thursday at 10 a.m.
