CLINTON, Miss. – West Alabama swept all six singles matches on the way to a 7-2 Gulf South Conference women's tennis victory over Mississippi College Wednesday at the MC Tennis Complex.
 
West Alabama improved to 4-1 overall, 2-1 in GSC play with the win. Mississippi College fell to 2-4 and 1-1.
 
Amina Mukhametshina, Evelyn Moreno, Georgina Morral, Liliana Araucz, Sandra Florez and Andrea Tomassone won singles matches #1 through #6, respectively, in straight sets. Mukhametshina and Morral claimed the Tigers' lone win in doubles, 8-6, over Brenna Keller and Anna Shuliak.
 
West Alabama travels to Alabama State for a Saturday match that gets underway at 2 p.m.
