LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama women's tennis team closed out the home portion of its 2016 schedule by pounding Gulf South Conference opponent West Georgia, 9-0, Saturday at the Vaughan Tennis Complex.
The win extended West Alabama's winning streak to six matches and improved the Tigers to 10-2 overall and 6-1 in GSC play. West Georgia is 2-7 and 1-6.
"Today was a good day for the women, getting another conference win and having Sandra (Florez), our only senior, picking up wins in singles and doubles," UWA head coach
Jeff Beaman said. "Up next is nationally-ranked Shorter Tuesday on the road."
