LAWRENCEVILLE, Ala. – Georgia Gwinnett, the second-ranked team in NAIA women's tennis, snapped West Alabama's winning streak at seven matches by defeating the Tigers, 8-1, Wednesday at the GGC Tennis Facility.
West Alabama is now 11-3, while Georgia Gwinnett won its eighth in a row and improved to 10-1.

Amina Mukhametshina recorded West Alabama's lone win at No. 1 doubles by an 8-4 margin over Valeria Podda and Sophie Feller. From there is was downhill for the Tigers, who play Thursday at Augusta University.
