Tiger Women Cruise Past BSC, 9-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of West Alabama tennis team cruised past Birmingham Southern College, 9-0, in a women's college tennis match at the Ann Dielen Tennis Complex.

"It was nice for the women to rebound with a win after coming up on the short end at Alabama State on Saturday," UWA coach Jeff Beaman said. "The ladies put together a solid day of tennis today."

West Alabama upped its record to 5-2 while Birmingham Southern dropped to 3-2.

Five of six West Alabama players won in straight sets in singles matches. Georgina Morrall and Isabella Wisener split the first two sets 6-2, 3-6 before Morrall won the match at 10-7 to claim her win at #3 singles.

The Tigers return to Gulf South Conference play at North Alabama on Saturday.
